I come to this place because it is close proximity to where I live. The atmosphere of this place is amazing. There are booths set up like Japanese-styled rooms, jazz music is played in the background (okay not authentic, but meh), the chopsticks are placed in either bamboo boxes or in mini-kimonos. The food, well, it really depends on what your order. I give top marks to the rolls they have, and I especially recommend the Toronto and Monster rolls, those two are unique in their own ways. I didn't like their sushi and sashimis, found their fish rather not fresh. The ramen and udons are excellent. Tempura is a no-go. Service-wise is quite wishy washy due to a lack of staff, especially if you're sitting by the booths. The ring for service technique is ineffective; even I can't tell how the mechanism will notify waitresses that you need assistance. They are very friendly though. Will I visit again? Yes, of course. this is the first time i have ever decided to try out the actual authentic korean BBQ grilling experience instead of the canadian-nized all-you-can grill buffets and ohhh boy was it the best choice of my life! this place is not all you can eat so you only have a choice from eating one type of meat or the other but oh my gooodness, the meat here was sooo tender and juicy with sooooo much flavour to them! i swear to you this place serves up the best Galbi (beef short ribs) i have ever eaten and i'm sooo upset i didn't know about it soooner!! the Galbi here is ACTUAL MEAT, not the blubber stick of fat you'd find at other restaurants! the special grilling dish costs about $40 between 2 people (so basically $20 each) and it is sooo worth it as the portions are sooo huge along with all those side dishes they give you (more than 5! which can be refilled whenever you want) with also a hot stone tofu soup on the side. this place will give you a run for your money! serving on the menu says only for 2 people but can definetly serve up to 4! there was so much stuff left over to eat but in the end i wasn't able to finish it. :( so if you're ever craving for real korean meat, come here! this place realizes QUALITY over QUAINTITY. yum! Service was exceptional!!! The owner of the restaurant and his wife (I wish we asked for their names but unfortunately didn’t) were extremely nice the whole time! Also accommodated really well for a nut allergy, which is uncommon in my experience, so big thanks go to their chefs. The food was incredible. The kalbi tastes very good and also the Korean beef. Very delicious. The panchan is also very good! I also appreciate/enjoy how salmon is available in the menu.
