Since its opening in 2003, Les Chocolats de Chloé has been delighting Duluth Avenue passersby as well as foodies the city over. The small storefront is a veritable chocolate wonderland where products are created and produced in-house. “It’s the meeting point of the artisan and the customer,” muses owner Chloé Gervais-Fredette. “We make and serve exquisite-quality chocolates, and have fun doing it. Luxury and simplicity make harmonious bedfellows I find.”
In addition to bulk classic fine chocolates, which can be mixed and matched, Les Chocolats de Chloé moulds its delicious recipes into truffles, bars and bite-sized morsels. And for those who can’t make the trek to the store, Chloé delivers via her online boutique.
There is something exciting about seeing something complicated, made so effortlessly in front of you. Such is the case with les Chocolats de Chloé, where they make all their chocolates in their open kitchen, so you can be a voyeur and enjoy the chocolate making process. Choose from their truffles, bars of chocolate, sweet treats like homemade marshmallows and candied citrus, and top quality mixes for hot chocolate.
Chloé is back again this year for the third grand tour of hot chocolate, this time with a beverage made with white chocolate, matcha tea and lemon cream. Yum!
This charming chocolatier on rue Duluth offers delicious Valrhona chocolates, made in the shop's own workshop. Chocolate flavours include Espelette pepper, five spice, salt flower and basil.
