I recently had my daughters birthday party here. The experience was awesome the staff went above and beyond what I expected. They made a picture sideshow of my little girl, and a special menu it was very well done. defintley would recommend to anyone Thank you for everything
We had our daughters Baptism reception at the Lionheart. Everybody had a great time, the food and atmosphere were great. Thank you very much for everything, we would highly recommend having an event here to anybody who wants to ensure a good time is had by all. We will definately be back in the near future.
I hosted my husband's 40th birthday party at Lionheart. We had such a great time! About 45 people came, eventhough, there was a huge snowstorm. The service was impeccable. My husband was not ever without a drink in his hand, sometimes in both his hands. The food was ready right when we arrived and came out to each table without a hitch. Adam, the owner, made planning the party so easy too! I had started out thinking it was going to be a bit hectic for me to plan this party but it wasn't at all! Thanks Adam for all of your effort leading upto the party and during! Made planning so much easier! We also go to Lionheart most Monday's for their wing night! It's considered our local pub. The atmosphere and service is always great. Everyone there is always so friendly. Such a great place to go.
Just had my 50 th Birthday party at Lionheart on June 16 th 2012 and it was a great time and success !!! The manager Adam was so helpful and exspereniced in the party planning stages and was always happily avalible for further meetings , questions information. The table set up and atmosphere was so very cosy and warm, with a number of nice extra touches. The food was terrific , all my guest at the party commented on the tastey beautiful buffet we had .The waiting staff at Lionheart were so on the ball , pleasant and helpful the whole event!and the live entertainment band there were excellent, they really made the party a fun time. I had a great 50th Birthday party at Lionheart with my 53 guest and would Recomend the pub highly for any type of gathering . The whole exaperince from beginning to end met and exceeded my expectations. Want to have a great time at a reansonable cost be sure and check out the Luonheart Pub and Resturant in Mississauga Ontatrio. The Food is Great !!!
Nice, clean pub serving tasty food. It wasn't super-busy when we arrived in ther evening, only about half the tables were occupied. Very impressive beer taps, but we stayed with soft drinks because kids were with us. The value is amazing, tasty food that was served was bang for our buck. Nothing was small, everything was large, and we all left with satisfied stomachs. I was very impressed with thematics and waitress attire. Group of old British gents at the bar gave the place character and didn't fill it with swearing, children had a great time, so did adults. Wouldn't have pegged a "pub" as a family restaurant, but would take family there again. Truly well done!
Our first experience at Lionheart pub was Valentines dinner arranged by my husband. The pub was decorated with hearts and the owner brought a Valentines mug and helium balloon to each table as a souvenir to take home. Also had made collages of our and other couples faces on cartoon bodies shown on the big screen with appropriate Valentines day sayings. Very nice touch and we appreciated the work that went into making Valentines day special. Our dinner was excellent, mine the ste ak and my husband fish and chips with bruschetta starter. Everything was top quality and even the keyboard player played romantic songs. All in all a fantastic experience and we will definately return .
I met with Adam the pub manager about 3 weeks prior to the party. We discussed my buget. He put together and emailed the potential menu to me in the form of an excell spreadsheet which I could manipulate to suit my requirements. The party was a great sucsess, the food was excellent and well presented, everyone at the party was very impressed. The decorations and video slide show were well done and quite creative. Our waitress Sam was very attentive till the end of our evening. Overall my guests and I were very impressed.... and most of all my wife loved it, I would definitely recommend the pub for party functions
Looking for a good lunch in the neighborhood with friends we selected Lionheart due to its many 5-star reviews here. With only a few folks at the bar and one other table occupied, we were very promptly greeted and served our beers. One feature here is the broad range of imported beers on tap. Nice to see when so many others local places seem tied only to Molson products. There's a broad selection of all the usual pub fare items on the menu here and we chose safely among likely the most popular items. The pickles arrived first, quite darkly fried. Maybe because of their high water content the pickles required a long fry time. Anyway, they were disppointing and my friends past up the chance to even sample them. So there they sat throughout the meal. Our mains soon arrived and were judged satisfactory. The pizza was quite large with ample toppings, big enough for two to share. Our server checked back and secured another round of beers for us. One opportunity to improve needs to be mentioned just in case management checks on these reviews. Please, - servers need to be reminded they are "on stage" while anywhere in the customers view. Facing the kitchen doors, I was regularly treated to our server performing an apparel adjustment that required a 360-degree hip rotation just inside the kitchen and before the door could close behind her. Oh well. Everything considered, it's a pleasant enough place for a relaxing meal and I'd recommend giving it a try. However, in my opinion all the recent 5-star reviews from folks who have never shared their experience on any other establishment should be heavily discounted. If this is their concept of "Best ever", they are missing a lot out of dining out.
I recently celebrated a birthday with friends at Lionheart and cannot stress what a great experience it was. The owner went above and beyond -- he even had a birthday balloon and funny slideshow prepared (with a few pictures I provided of the birthday girl). She was blown away and I was very happy with the decision to make the reservation there. Even though the place was packed, the waitress was great with our numerous requests. Everyone enjoyed their food (massive portions) and our diverse group was very happy with the variety of food and drink choices available. Everything was great! Love this place!
On arrival the atmosphere was OK. Its a "pub". Although not busy when we arrived we stood around waiting to be seated. When we were seated it was in a corner by a door to the patio. The chair at the table was a patio chair and initially didn't think it would bother me. However, after we had received our drinks and sat for a while in the cold corner I decided I wanted a regular chair. Our waiter had disappeared for a while so I put the chair in the corner and stood up hoping to catch his attention. He came by and served drinks to the table next to us and didn't even notice I had no chair and was standing. The people at the adjacent tables were roaring with laughter. After 10 minutes the couple next to us gets up and the gentleman gives me his chair thanking me for the comedy. Waiter eventually comes around and takes our order. In the mean time they start up some ridiculous trivia game in the place with some gomer yelling questions through the PA system. I can't even have a conversation with my guest. Two ladies at the next table are looking around with annoyed looks on their faces and they ask me what gives and I reply "got me I am from out of town". Our order comes: Vindaloo Beef and Bangers and Mash. For a British Pub this should be a slam dunk. Nope, air ball big time. Mashed potatoes stone cold. Sausages barely better. My guest didn't say anything until I asked because of his lack of enthusiasm getting into his plate. Another server came by and asked how we were doing and I told her the dish was cold. She apologized and took it back. In the meantime my guest told me I should go ahead and eat mine. The flavour of the Vindaloo Beef was on however the potatoes were not hot and the rice it was served on was crunchy. My guests plate came back and was tepid. Pretty much fed up we just ate the rest. Our original server eventually showed up again, didn't ask how was our meal just if we wanted another "round" or some dessert. Very disappointed, never ever go back. Spent easily 1/3 of what I usually would when I buy for a client.
We would like to thank Lionheart for making our special event such a great memory for ourselves as well as for our guests. Everyone had a great time and was very impressed with the set up and all the special touches such as the balloons, slideshow and band. Our assigned waitress and staff for the night were outstanding and were accommodating with our guest’s orders and requests. We were very happy with the service and flexibility of how the night went. Furthermore, the whole planning of the event from the start ran very smoothly and there was constant communication throughout the whole process, where I always felt comfortable in expressing my concerns and ideas. The Food was great and food baskets were the perfect option for the party. The shots were also a hit. Overall, the whole night went wonderful and we were very impressed with everyone at Lionheart. The Lionheart is part of the community in which we live in, as we live right around the corner- we will definitely be coming back! Thank you so much for a very memorable experience, Silvia and Wayne
What a great time we had a Lionheart last night. Not only was the atmosphere warm and friendly but the entertainment was great too. What made our experience even better was the quality of the food and service. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a friendly, bubbly hostess who made us feel so welcome. Our server was very accommodating and she anticipated our every whim. What made the evening even better was the quality of the food. We've been to many a pub in the past and always found the food to be mediocre at the best. At Lionheart the food came out hot and delicious. You could tell that the food was homemade and not the typical frozen and processed food served at most box restaurants. The Curry was to die for...rich, creamy and just the right spice. The Liver and Onions was the best I have ever tasted and the burgers were out of this world...definitely homemade. The Fish and Chips were huge...crispy Beer Batter and the fish hung over the edge of the plate. It's hard to find a place that offers so many good things about it so as far as we are concerned, we've not only found our favourite restaurant...we've also found our favourite Local Pub. This is going to be the place that I recommend all my friends to visit.
I'd warn against going to this establishment. Went there with a few friends today and had a terrible experience. The service was terrible! Took over an hour and a half JUST to get our food on the table. Not only was the service slow, but the waitress was extremely rude. We asked her to take a picture of our table for us, and she refused to, saying she would come back and do it. Did she come back? Absolutely not. Maybe it was just me being acutely aware of my surroundings, but I got a fairly racist vibe from the pub patrons and especially from our waitress. Not only was I uncomfortable, but so was my entire table. She was rude, the food is not worth the price you're paying for it and the crowd is disappointing. The buns around my burger were burned black! Did not expect this, will NOT return again. This pub deserves zero stars.
