Due to heavy snow last year, I had a huge leak under a flat roof portion of my business. Howes Bros and another company were recommended by friends. I went with Howes Bros is because instead of re-doing a flat roof (as the other company quoted) they recommended building a pitched roof so I don't end up with the same problem again. The shingle & siding they used on the new roof look like it should have been there all along. They've since re-done the rest of the building & I couldn't be happier!
Well it came time to get the roof re-shingled finding a good roofer can be difficult as the industry itself is not tightly regulated in Ontario. With the amount of them doing business in our area selecting one is extremely important. Howes Bros was a name given by our neighbours that had work done the previous year in Arbour Ridge sub-division in Kingston, Ontario. We called them and they arrived on time at the date given for an estimate. First good sign was the got up the the roof immediately, if a roofer doesn't do this and tries to do a quick measure from below this is a red flag. A detailed estimate/quote was given to my wife and sample of shingle styles. We checked out other roof styles in the neighbour and selected what we wanted. Shingles are made by Timberline (Architectural) and of very good quality. Crew arrived 30 minutes early on the day of install and finished on time in one day for a one level house. They had a good size crew and wasted no time getting to it. If you need a roof job done this summer and done right call Howes Bros Roofing Specialists, there in the yellow pages :). Cleanup was a non isssue and it was done very well and you couldn't really tell they were there. Thanks guys for all the good work, its nice to have this important job done.
