Award-winning television host, producer and entrepreneur, Anna Wallner, had wrapped up a television series when she decided she was ready for a new challenge. An enthusiastic foodie, Anna enrolled at Vancouver's Northwest Culinary Academy with a goal to enter the food industry. In what capacity, she didn't know.
"For two years, I looked at several food-related opportunities," says Anna, who is probably best known as the co-host of The Shopping Bags and Anna and Kristina's Grocery Bag. "I thought maybe a new market, restaurant or food delivery business."
In 2018, a friend told her that Vancouver's leading catering company, Savoury Chef Foods, was for sale.
"It is one of those situations that happens in life ... as soon as I met the whole team at Savoury, I knew it was something special," Anna says. "Everyone is committed and our chef, Geoff Rogers, is a rock star and so humble."
