Originally only available at small, specialty grocery stores, the signature glass jars with the brown labels and large-print font filled with delectable creamery goodness were a cult favourite. When their full-scale “scoop shop” opened, fans rejoiced and Earnest went mainstream. Their permanent stock of six flavours is augmented by an impressive array of seasonal offerings, including original flavours like spruce tip, blackberry black pepper and 33 Acres of Malt, featuring beer from the local brewery.
The best ice cream in town in my opinion, Earnest Ice Cream offers an array of unique and indulging flavours for dessert fans. Adding their signature artisanal twist to classic ice cream flavours, Earnest elevates the basics and turns them into something special. My personal favourite is lemon poppy seed.
This little business is already becoming legendary for their homemade ice cream. The only way to improve it would be to sandwich the creamy confection between two macarons for the best dessert in Mount Pleasant. While you’re there, get a take-home pint, packaged in returnable and reusable glass jars.
