My husband and I have been going to Westcoast Family Medical Clinic since moving to Sooke in July 2018 and can't say enough about the outstanding care we have received!
got my doctor Vally when we moved in sooke in 2008 I cant tahnk him enough for taking care of me and my whole family , he took care of my mother untli the last night she was alive he came to visit ... it means a lot for all of us !!!
Glad to have his clinic in our small town.
Helpful staff and good doctors, virtual appointments for minor things sure save time for patients and doctors.
Accommodating & caring staff, great MD’s.....walk in a few times, seen within 30 minutes of appointment time,,,,the urgent care clinic is wonderful for those who have no family md.....
Dr. Kluge has been my family’s doctor for 6 years. Dr. Kluge is a genuinely caring physician who has a good bedside manner, he listens to my concerns and addresses the issues appropriately. I find the staff professional, helpful and friendly. This is a very busy clinic and I imagine it can be very challenging for the doctors to keep up to so many patients needs. We’ve been seen by alternate doctors who provide care when the issue couldn’t wait for our family doctor
The worst doctor I have ever seen. I am dealing with PTSD and working with a counsellor as I almost lost my life twice with in months and had my mother die. Dr. McKnight is so rude and told me to go for a walk to deal with it. This man should not be practicing medicine. He kept telling me how he didn't have time for this and actually walked out of the appointment to see someone else then came back. He is brutal
I have been a user of the WCM Clinic since it's inception, and have found the doctors and staff unfailingly helpful and caring. It is often an incredibly busy--as the only clinic west of Langford--and unable to help all walk-in traffic, which can be frustrating. But that is not the Clinic's fault: blame the government, not the doctors or staff.
The receptionists & the Medical student were absolutely lovely. New to Sooke, I have severe PTSD & my GP & Psychiatrist both closed their practices last week. This triggered my PTSD symptoms severely so I needed to go to the clinic to get a written referral to a psychiatrist & a verbal request to a GP who will take a patient in Victoria, as a courtesy to another GP. Dr.Foresberg said, absolutely not. This is your problem. She was cold, thoughtless, and no compassion in her bones at all.
I went to this clinic with my husband and daughter today for my severe back pain, when the doctor tried to prescribe me medicine I told him I had tried that before with no success, he rudely interrupted saying "Shut up and let me finish!" then slammed the door loudly to retrieve the prescription regardless of what I said, my 9 year old daughter cried he was so rude, we walked out immediately, absolutely no bedside manor and not suitable for family, I would not recommend stopping here.
I have been to the walk-in 3 times in a month and seen a different doctor each time. Every experience was the same, the doctor's weren't listening to my medical concerns and rushed me out of the office. One doctor even entered the room, I asked, "how are you today", his response was "tired and hungry". Great first impression. My point to writing this review is that the doctors don't seem to be thorough when performing an exam to see what's really wrong with you. I wouldn't recommend this clinic
