We've had internet with "The Edge" several years. The down times are unbelievable. You can go as long as 3 weeks without internet because they went with solar on several sites and underpay their employees till they leave, meaning no one to change out dead batteries. (Due to using poly crystalline panels in freezing conditions, pointed east of all places)
Every night at 1am it locks you out of the internet until you type in a password. (Only happens for half the users for whatever reason)
They call it broadband, but when talking to an employee I heard that all 200 subscribers have to share the 20megabits it receives. So makes sense why its so slow, since it allows one person to use 5megs at a time meaning if four kids are on that's it for everyone else. Also the biggest package is 70 gigs a month. For 80 dollars plus the 500 dollar fee to have them install a tranzeo radio. A used one. Often 12 years old. (When a brand new ubiquiti is 200...) Which they will buy back when you leave for 100, then sell again. In the odd chance you get a dead one they will buy it back for 400 then sell it again to someone else. Supposed to be a non profit but they really need to change if they want to keep customers.
