With a degree in finance and a master's in project management, Philippe Langlois was destined to be an entrepreneur. "During my studies, I did internships in companies working in mining, namely the import and export of precious stones," explains Philippe. These internships led him to work in West Africa for several years. His experiences with the supply process fascinated him.
Back in Canada, Philippe found that many of his friends were looking to get married, but didn't want to pay the high prices at the major stores recognized around the world for their jewellery. Sensing an opportunity, Philippe associated himself with knowledgeable people in the industry and as he managed to find more affordable prices, the business was born. "We are a company focused on media and on the jewellery; we are not a big box store. This is one of the reasons why we are able to offer products at more affordable prices," he says.
