I recently discovered this cute little Mexican spot and I am in love. The food is delicious and hearty, and the prices are great! They have these special Margaritas that have slush and ice and they serve them in a big fish bowl and they are so good. The staff is super friendly and they always seem like they're having a good time while at work.
If you haven't checked this place out yet you have to! The best Mexican restaurant in the city for sure.
I'm not one to write reviews, but Margaritas is the by far the best Mexican restaurant in Toronto. It's a hidden gem on Baldwin street with a gorgeous patio both upstairs and downstairs with a great view of the CN tower. More importantly, the staff are extremely laid back and friendly. The manager who is there seemingly everyday makes sure everyone is taken care of and feels at home. The food is authentic Mexican from a long line family business. Tacos were to die for!! Thank you!
This was our visit back of more than 2 years ago, and we came back because we were impressed then, but only to be utterly disappointed.
We were asked to be seated by the entrance which was cramped and full of shopping bags from the table beside it. There were 3 empty tables, and we politely asked if we can be seated elsewhere, the waiter simply said "no". The table besides us barely managed to put their bags elsewhere (since the place is tiny) and we squeezed into our spot. Fine whatever, as long as the food is good, so I thought.
Food was awful...red enchilada salty, no flavour, just really cheesy, the rice was cold and bland, and bean was one big hard clump. I did not even eat half of it. The chicken quesadilla was decent, I wished the side salad was on a different plate cause it soaked the quesadilla, the only thing decent.
The place is small but there was one staff serving on a Saturday night, that says it all.
What a waste of saturday dinner.
