You may be dead set on it because it has six gears, looks super cool or has a big price tag, but Akili Sylvester is not going to sell you a bike from Bike and Forth unless it’s right for you. “We want to pass on our knowledge to our customers so they can make an informed decision about what bike is best for them,” says Akili, who’s been manager at the bike, scooter and repair store since 2014. “Even though a price tag might imply that a bike is better than another there’s more to it than that.”
Working alongside owner John Sipione, when approached by a customer, Akili asks about their specific mobility needs and pairs them up with the perfect bike or scooter.
Bike and Forth also has a good range of mobility scooters for people who would otherwise find it hard to get around. “They’re slow enough for you to travel down the aisles of a supermarket but can go fast enough so you can get downtown and back without taking the whole day,” says Akili.

Short: Bike's don't last more than 6 months from normal wear and tear warranty isn't honored, customer service is non existent. Longer: We bought a bike here. About 6 months later it broke. Fine we still had the warranty. When we called they said (without seeing the bike) that it would cost money. We brought the bike in. They said the repair wasn't covered because we hit a pothole (that didn't happen). Their mechanic told me that he sees this all the time and the bikes aren't built we
Great customer service (ask for Elijah), was able to price match, no complaints. Riding a new 2015 E-wind - fantastic.
I don't know how this store is still in business. The owner is so rude; doesn't respect others' opinions. He gets really angry if you negotiate on price... he just flips! I hope he was only having a bad day; otherwise, his behavior is not worth it.
They sell used bicycles that look real shoddy, and there over priced! Why not just go buy a new bike for the price they charge. And the owner is very rude, if you don't agree with his pricing.
Was quoted $60-$80 dollars for my old bike last spring and then I bought wheels and other gear to fix it up from bike and forth dropping almost $180 dollars into the bike so i could ride it as i had decided to keep it. Went to trade it in again today as I had gotten a new bike and The owner was very rude and told me the bike was not worth $5 when it was in better condition that it was when he first gave me his quote.
