food was excellant and hot service was fast and friendly we had a real great time
I have heard that this restaurant is busy and good. I beg to differ, the quality of food was awful! the jumbo shrimp appetizer were awfully small in size drenched in oil and only received 5 pcs and I mean the smallest of small shrimp. It was disappointing. My husbands mushroom app. was cold. the veal was tough and dry and the pasta was watery. I hate it when they can not drain the pasta. Unfortunately I have learned why people go - its cheap and you get what you pay for.
First time i had ever eaten at cafe amore. Nice place,clean. Now for the food, the salad was excellent though i missed the bacon on it. Garlic bread was excellent though only 2 small portions. The penne alfredo with chicken and mushrooms was like glue...way to thick, needs a lot of salt and pepper added to it, though the amount of chicken in it was huge.
Cafe Amore goes out of its way!!! The service is exceptional and the food-unreal. The portion sizes offer more than you pay for! They even offer celiac-friendly pasta dishes-which is basically unheard of in this area. This location (Martindale) is like coming home to family. You are always treated as a guest rather than a "customer". Thank-you for all the fantastic FOOD and SERVICE along the way! I'll be seeing you soon and I urge those who havn't tried it to soon frequent-be sure to make a reservation though because this restaurant is quickly becoming one of St. Catharines favorites!!!
This restaurant is truly amazing! You get so much for the price you pay and the service is great aswell. A perfect 10 for me and my friends and I will be telling others about it too. Great work cafe amore crew
