Hands down the best quality of ingredients and dish presentation in the area. Not pub food which is what most other eating establishments in town are. Owner and wait staff are friendly but not intrusive. It is pricey but quality costs money. Retrofit makes the small setting more comfortable. Highly recommend.
great food! fresh bread with delicious dip ! really tiny garlic bread.
Nice ambiance , service was robotic, food heavily salted and spiced but tasty. Limited menu and I wanted lasagna which was not available Small serving of tasty bread no extras. My dish was cold. Value for money is poor to awful as I could get better for 1/3 the price many other places. I left hungry as I only got a infant sized portion of pasta. Will never go back. But at least the owner is making great margins off unsuspecting patrons Suggest unless you want a $25 child spaghetti one piece of bread no water no wine menu and in and out in half an hour ..go elsewhere
This is definitely not our top choice when dining out in Perth. Our first experience was terrible but that happens everywhere. Second experience….well needless to say we will never return! There were two other tables in the restaurant, and the server neglected our table all night. She knew absolutely NOTHING about the wine list when we asked for suggestions. A member from our party had to physically get up and ask for more water, we waited an hour and a half for our entrees. The Waitress who claimed to be an owner placed our food on the table and never returned to check on us. My wife’s chicken was so dry she was unable to eat it, FORGET sending anything back to the kitchen. Again I had to get up from the table to get the server’s attention. When we politely sent our food back to the kitchen, the arguing in kitchen (which is open concept) was unbelievable. The chef then stormed towards our table, took the plate and told us to GET OUT of his restaurant! He then refused to take the uneaten dish off of our bill. We have never been so insulted in our lives, we have been in the Perth area for thirty years and we will be sure to pass along our horrible experience at Bistro 54.
