One of our favourite restaurants in town - we have been many many times for lunch and dinner and never been disappointed. Very friendly service, and great food, with fresh ingredients. Favourites include the beef rolls, pad thai, and veggie fried rice. If you like extra-spicy or very mild, they're happy to season to your taste. Say yes to the free dessert, usually a tapioca and banana pudding. All servings are generous, and the price is right. Two people can leave with full tummies and a doggie bag for the next day's lunch for $20-25 dollars or less.

Hi, I loved the dish that I got, as well as the ones my friends got... Unfortunately I don't remember the dish names because it was my first time there. Mine was beef, my friend got a fried chicken dish (they are like little chicken balls). And my other friend just had spring rolls. Anyway, I highly recommend this place, the service is great, and it's a nice peaceful environment.
We eat at Golden Viet Thai as often as we can, lunch or dinner, and it is always amazing. The food is wonderful, and made with quality ingredients. The order arrives quickly and the staff are always very friendly and efficient. Whenever we have visitors from overseas we take them to GVT and everyone comments on the fantastic meal.
Co-Workers and I visit The Golden Viet Thai restaurant on average twice a week. The Staff is extremely friendly and make you feel like you're part of the family. The owner and his family take pride in remembering each person by name and what they previously ordered. The jovial atmosphere, quick and personal service and amazing food make every visit an extremely pleasant experience. Every visitor in Kingston should visit this gem for a taste of what Kingston is truly about.
