i ordered fettuccine alfredo with vegetables... the fettuccine was stuck together and hard, very little sauce and the veggies(broccoli only) was raw, not steamed or cooked. The hard stuck pasta was about 10 pieces altogether, not just tips hard on a few pieces. It was most of it. The cook was in front of the kitchen chatting up with staff most of the time. The manager was all smiles with the waitresses and doing nothing else. I will never return. Needs all new staff.

Server told us we were "wrong"

We ordered our drinks, two orders were incorrect. One that was a fruit cocktail-type of drink only had syrup in it....the bartender admitted to the mistake, they had forgotten to add the fruit juices...everyone makes mistakes. However, one glass of wine, which was pictured on the menu, came out a totally distroted colour- different from the wine pictured. Now, little did the server know, an individual I was dining with is in the Wine industry and has been for over thirty years- they KNOW the product- and the wine we were served was definetely not the one we ordered. Infact, we knew the exact wine we were served instead! When we told the waitress it was good, but not what we ordered- she was quick to say "No, that's the one! I even saw the bartender pour it from the bottle!". We smiled and said, no, this isn't the wine, we know the one it is...she just said "well no, it's a different kind of taste." ....Later on, to see the bottle and see a DIFFERENT colour of wine in it...we were served the wrong wine and basically just put up with it because the server and bartender insisted they were right. My only advice is, be cautious of your mistakes, servers and bartenders. You never know what prior knowledge of food and drink customers may have coming in- they may just own the product you're representing. Just as someone who works with Cheese would know the difference between Brie and Gouda immediatly after seeing, touching and tasting it...so ANYBODY in ANY industry that specializes in food and beverages- never tell a customer they are wrong. Accept your mistakes.

Mehh

Im not a huge fan of east sides in general and this place lets you down like the others. Just really bland food served by kids who dont want to be there.

I will let other people decide about going to a restaurant that hires a small local business, has that business perform the service and then decides not to pay the local business. Even after East Side Mario's in Dundas sent e-mails coinfirming they would pay and confirming they had mailed the chq. Then East Side Mario's refuses to respond to why they have decided not to pay.
