Yellow-Quill Café owner Theresa Contois has taken her Aboriginal heritage as inspiration for her restaurant, serving traditional cuisine at an affordable price. “Many people have never tried Aboriginal food before,” says Theresa. “With such amazing flavours and dishes, I really wanted to make this option more accessible for the Vancouver public.”
With a reputation for offering some of the most delicious Aboriginal food in Vancouver, Yellow-Quill Café has been able to attract many people who are new to Aboriginal food. “Our pulled bison is made with a special rhubarb barbeque sauce that is definitely one of our most popular dishes,” Theresa says. “We also serve pulled bison Eggs Benedict on bannock. Both have become huge hits with our customers.”
