Found this place one morning after a party and had breakfast with a friend. Loved the food, loved the decor. Restaurant is clean and the food is adequately priced for their downtown location. You don't feel rushed to finish up and get out - the chef guy even left a pot of coffee on our table so we could refill it ourselves. The chef guy does have an attitude but he is not obnoxious. Sometimes he gets bored and will eavesdrop on your conversation and make commentary, or crack a few jokes with you. He is authentic, and so is his restaurant. I love the place and would take new people there. Read more

I've been to this restaurant a number of times. They have some very good deals for lunch. The restaurant used to be run by an old Korean couple. The entire menu is uniquely Korean. They have a great Dolsot Bibimbap (mixed vegetables, shredded meat and a fried egg in a stone bowl). My favourite dish is the Chicken Dupbap (a teriyaki style chicken on a bed of rice). The service is not the same at the Casey's near AMC in Scarborough. The service here was outstanding. I love beer and I love a long list of options recited to me by memory... there seem to be so many negative reviews about the Bier Markt but... it's a pub, really, and a spacious, respectable one with Great Beer at that. I was at the Esplanade location last Friday afternoon around 4pm with my husband and some friends and we had a fantastic time drinking pints of Steigl, Erdinger weissbrau, Jupiler, and sharing fondue--wish there was a ski hill nearby. I've been here often, mainly for the beer, but last Friday the atmosphere was great, really quiet and just right for a late lunch. I wish the decor was a little cozier inside. Read more
