This is a great Japanese restaurant, been there a couple of times and just two days ago brought two of my Australian friends to try the Tappenaki lunch. They were really very impressed by the food and the service especially the chef who was very entertaining doing the onion volcano and the egg cracking. Will definitely continue to go for meals. I dont understand the previous negative reviews...? I have been going here for years and the food has been always good. I have never received bad service. The service is average but never bad. Everything is fresh and tasty. Our favourites are Dynamite roll, Volcano Roll, Bonsai Roll to name a few.. Don't listen to the previous negative reviews - makes no sense why they are complaining! I've been to several all you can eat sushi restaurants from Toronto to Hamilton and a few places in between--Futogenki is by far the best I've experienced. The food was very fresh and piping hot--and it was delicious! They also have a large selection of made to order Chinese food, which is included in the all you can eat menu. Also, the price includes unlimited drinks and ice cream--such great value! It's my favourite place to eat in Owen Sound. Read more
