We toured all of the Peterborough retirement residences when we were looking for a spot for my father. Applewood immediately felt warm and welcoming. We have never regretted the decision. They have provided a home-like atmosphere, with caring staff, and plenty of activities for those so inclined. The management response during this COVID pandemic has been nothing short of heroic. I have to tell you when I called to inquire about Retirement By The Lake I asked to speak to the manager. I was politely told that she is on holidays. I left a message and to my surprise she called back within 15 minutes! She was so helpful and very kind. My client hasn't made a move yet, but she knows where shes going! Read more
