Haven't been there in awhile but was there 2 days ago and YUM!!! Can't believe the size of the birthday cake that they gave me! Generous!! I was glad I had people to share it with as I would have burst if I'd eaten it myself!! The meal was mighty fine and the service was so good!!! My parents loved her. We informed ****** it was my parent''s anniversary and she came out with a piece of cake and a nice song. We told her some of the brunch items were cold and she immediately replaced them for us. She went the extra mile and made my parents anniversary special. On a whim on a perfect day this summer, I found myself on Center Island with a delightful 2-person-bike rental. My companion and I biked to Ward Island and stumbled upon this little gem of a cafe. We sat on the backyard patio and it was a brilliant sight. Perfectly tree-shaded area with a gentle breeze to set off your view of the lovely garden and the lake behind it. The service was good: warm and attentive. The food was nicely done, and I enjoyed my salad (very filling) and chatting in the pleasant surroundings. This is a perfect place to stop for a break, a light meal or a cool drink on a warm day. I will definitely check back upon returning to The Island. Read more
