At night, be prepared to go up to the bar to order drinks and sometimes food. My only complaint is that the shots are expensive and they seem a little on the small side. Compared to other bars, they offer a much wider selection of food and have better deals. Service is a bit lacking, however, this is a very busy place, especially past 7pm, so servers can't come by every two minutes to see you, so keep that in mind. Every one of the staff members were very courteous and attentive. My daughter had her newborn son strapped to her chest in a wrap and many staff members stopped by to see our 6 week old grandson. The manager on duty even stopped to ask how everything was. The food and service was wonderful. The food never fails to please. We also ordered takeout recently with chicken parm meal for 4. I think the stars aligned when I went to Swiss Chalet a while back (more than a year ago). As always, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy without being stuffy or drab, and the service was quick (so quick I barely blinked and my food was there!). We had an AMAZING server who was around without hovering, and our food, as I said, was out within five minutes of ordering. This was, by far, the best service I have ever received in any restaurant. The server, in particular, was just absolutely incredible. She refiilled our water glasses when they were nearing empty, and it was like she was telepathic: she came with more napkins when things got a little bit messy! Overall, phenomenal.
