No visit to The Ex is complete without Tiny Tom doughnuts! The Markham-based doughnut shop comes to Toronto every year to share the quickly fried doughnuts for the masses. There are four flavours – cinnamon sugar, icing sugar, apple n’ cinnamon and chocolate.
Bacon, bacon and more bacon! Bacon Nation is making an appearance at the Food Truck Frenzy, and it’ll be serving up its famous bacon based street food! With menu items like deep fried BLT sandwich to the popular Notorious P.I.G. burger, you better get there early because there’s bound to be a massive line.
Chimney Stax is joining forces with Junked Food Co. this year, and it’s bound to attract the crowds. You can expect the popular funnel pastry to be decked out Junked Food Co. style, with tons of toppings and decadent flavours.
One of Toronto’s top rated food trucks is on site during Food Truck Frenzy this year. Fidel Gastro specializes in home style barbecue with menu items like pulled pork sandwiches and Pad Thai fries.
It should be no surprise that The Food Dudes will be parking their truck on the CNE grounds. The menu of eclectic dishes like mac and cheese balls, sloppy Joe fries and Nutella bombs, is the reason people keep coming back for more.
The Canadian classic is a mainstay at most local fairs, so of course they’ll be available at one of Canada’s biggest! The authentic Canadian pastry is always a carnival favourite and comes in many flavours, from the classic cinnamon and sugar to the popular Reese topped with Reese’s Pieces, peanut butter and chocolate.
Hungarian pastries are back at Food Truck Frenzy this year and Eva’s Original is promising even more delicious options! The spun pastry is filled with soft serve and topped with fresh fruit, cheesecake, maple pralines and more.
For the past few years, the historic restaurant has been making waves at the CNE. From the over-the-top milkshakes to the Thanksgiving waffles, there is always something delicious in store when Fran’s gets involved. You can find them in the food building.
All the burgers on Burgatory’s menu are named after the seven deadly sins. Offering just seven burgers, the chef makes sure each stands out with its own unique flavour profile. There are also hand cut fries or salad on the side.
