“Spiral Fitness is far from being a traditional gym,” says Vaggilis Troulis. The young entrepreneur manages the Saint-Viateur Street East fitness centre with friend, Adriano Morelli. “People here never work out without a trainer, and the exercises we choose, along with the pace and intensity, have nothing to do with ordinary gyms. The emphasis is on sustained intensity and on working out every muscle in the body, so that in one hour, the client gets a full-body workout, cardio included. Team spirit also permeates every training session, and I think that’s what our clientele is after,” Vaggilis explains.
The fitness philosophy promoted by Spiral Fitness is that of Integrated Functional Fitness, a style of training that involves every muscle group within a high-intensity, fast-paced sequence with few breaks to keep the body in a constant state of effort. “This approach allows us to simultaneously target all the elements of proper fitness: endurance, strength, balance, coordination and agility,” says Vaggilis.
Spiral Fitness provides group and individual training sessions, alongside yoga classes and training services for wrestlers and athletes.
