Meet the owner

Toufic Hinnawi has always dreamed of opening a bagel restaurant. He finally decided to embark on the adventure of owning a business with his brother, whom he calls his "partner in life." Toufic has no training in catering; instead, the taste for gastronomy comes naturally to him. It was also natural for him to want to create a family concept at the corner of Sherbrooke and Saint-Denis.

Hinnawi Bros Bagel & Café is more than a restaurant for the two brothers: they seek to offer their customers a friendly, smiling and welcoming service. The restaurant reflects their family-focused and friendly outlook on life.

    Montreal's tastiest breakfast sandwiches

    Montreal's tastiest breakfast sandwiches

This place is one of Montreal’s hidden gems. Located on Sherbrooke Street East, they serve a delicious cup of coffee to go along with their bagel sandwiches. They’re all prepared on Montreal St-Viateur bagels, so you know you can’t go wrong. Try Le Montréalais if you want to feel like a local; it’s made with egg, cream cheese, ham, lettuce, tomato, cucumber and Swiss cheese.

Small and sweet: The tastiest Montreal-style bagels

Although we may be a little biased, when it comes to the New York versus Montreal bagel debate, Montreal is the clear winner. Period. See for yourself at these Montreal bagel shops and cafés.
