In search of healthy sustainable food supplies, over half of the global fish supply comes from aquaculture, and it's now the fastest growing food sector in the world. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) indicates that 70% of the world's wild fisheries are now either fished to the maximum sustainable yield or are being over fished.
