Mee-Quam Youth Residence is a ten bed open custody/detention program that the Provincial Director for Custody has decided is where you will serve your court-ordered sentence as a result of a conviction for criminal behavior or your remand time as you await your day in court.Mee-Quam Youth Residence resembles a regular house in many ways and is not locked; however you cannot leave without permission. While serving your sentence you may have the opportunity to be in the community, always with staff escorting you, unless you have an approved Reintegration Leave from the Provincial Director.
