When Tracey Haug, owner and program director at Kaleidoscope Spirit, came home after years of travelling, she found herself antsy. Things at home were a little more stable than out on the road, and while she loved being back, she wanted to do something. “I got into yoga because I was seeking something more — really, an adventure of self,” says Tracey. “I found yoga and a very traditional teacher. I saw the benefits of yoga for children and it just went from there. We started as a mobile [studio] and, eventually, we opened our own studio.”
Tracey believes that yoga is a fun activity for the whole family and makes sure that her studio is a space where families can do yoga together. “Our facility is very colourful and fun,” she says. “We wanted to make a space that’s community focused, where people would feel comfortable hanging out after the classes, connecting with other members.”
