"Some people think that hunters just kill indiscriminately," says Kent Archibald, co-owner of Firearm Training Centre together with his wife, Karen. "Nothing could be further from the truth. Most hunters are ethical, humane people who want to learn how to use a firearm correctly and we're here to help them do just that."
Education in the correct use, maintenance and storage of firearms is a passion for the Archibalds. "We have some top-notch, caring instructors," Kent says, "and we have two wonderful classrooms to learn in. People usually leave a course totally impressed by the setting and by how much fun they had while learning."
Kent understands that some people are nervous around firearms. "It's just a lack of knowledge," he says. "I tell people that guns are just tools. They're not evil. It's the person holding the gun that could be an issue. This is where training and safety come in."
