Out to get your money! Got an extra $2 left over from my student loans last year only to find out they charged me double for taking it! Got a phone call today on Easter Sunday while having dinner with my family to find out if I will be filing with them this year... never again! My husband had 7 years of back taxes to do, we brought in all the info and gave them 4 weeks to get it ready. Not one of them wanted to do It, and we got passed around to three different people.
Dropped my tax return off on a Wednesday because they said it was easier then waiting. Got a slip saying "promise to be ready" for two days later. Showed up the day after my taxes should be completed to find out they haven't started them. I asked for my documents back so I could file my taxes somewhere else. The lady then started telling another emyloyee she was pulling the files in the wrong order and now because of it they were losing a customer. Very unprofessional!
Unfortunately Thanks to them I got audited for the 2014 tax year!
Not only haveing to wait a good 2 hours untill we finally were seen my BF and I saw a lady who could Barley speak English, thought my job was my name for half the appointment, and when asked if she could see the last T4 slip that I was currently waiting on she said yes she could. As I am still new to doing taxes I was under the impression that everything was fine and that she could see the slip I had yet to receive.
Then months later I got a nice slip in the mail from the revenue agency stating that I am being a audited and owe them money. So thanks H&R Block for nothing
