I just had to come home from my great dinner tonight in Bayfield and share my fantastic experience at this hidden gem called Davincis. Apparently this used to be a Cafe but the Owners have expanded their menu and now serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had no idea they were fully licensed!! The dinner we had tonight in the Garden Patio was by far the best I've had in Bayfield. I enjoyed a beautiful poached salmon with a lemon dill sauce, my partner had a huge lamb shank and our friends had the ribs from the Friday BBQ Menu. They boasted that they were fall off the bone ribs. We all were very pleased with our dinners and topped it off by sharing the delicious strawberry rhubarb pie and carrot cake. I look forward to my next visit to Bayfield just so I can return to this great place again!!! Read more

I have been a huge fan of Tonys for years. Been going to the location on Dundas for ages and this place is so classic Italian its such a London landmark. The portions are huge and I always order the large panzerotti just so I can take some home, awesome the next day. AMAZING! Never been to this restaurant and had my first visit ever this past Saturday. Upon walking in, I first noticed the dim lighting which set a very memorable ambiance. Delicate and soothing music played over the room and we were seated quickly. Our waitress came over promptly and asked for our beverage order and did so in a bubbly and polite manner. Me and my partner both ordered Ceasar's and they were delivered very fast. Not only fast but quite possibly the best Ceasar I've had. Shortly after the drinks, she brought bread and sauce over to our table which was nothing short of a taste of heaven. It gives East Side Mario's starter bread a run for it's money. When we were ready to place our order, we both ordered the 10oz Rib Eye glazed with Cabarnet Sauvignon. At first, my partner couldn't decide between the Lasagna or the steak. Our waitress said that their pasta is memorable but their steak is of very high caliber. So he took her advice and ended up ordering the steak. I followed suit. As our sides, we decided to have penne pasta (the best of both worlds) and the steamed vegetables. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. Even at the Keg, I've never had steak so succulent and flavourful. This was incredible. Not only was the steak to die for, but they piled on - and I mean PILED on - a load of mushrooms on top and they are by far the best mushrooms I've ever eaten. The vegetables were delicious! Not too long into our meal, our waitress came over to ask how our meal was and I found it hard to tell her as I didn't want to take a breath to speak. Lol. It was then that we ordered a litre of Zinfandel to go with our meal and it, too, was impeccable. This is a beautiful little spot that is hands down the best place I've eaten in Brantford. Read more

My only complaint is the size of the place, which was really crowded because my friend and I had to squeeze around people and their tables. Not much moving room. That's all. People need to realize that at 6 pm on a Saturday night the place is going to be busy no matter what so service and atmosphere will no be as great. I will always remember what I had for dinner the first time my parents brought me to the Cook's Shop. It was the Chicken Diablo - a whole, large chicken, butterflied with a spicy sauce. The server commented that it was "bigger than me" and I might not be able to eat it all. I proved her wrong! SInce then, I have made many trips to this little place and most of the time I still end up with the chicken. My girlfriend feels the same way about the Angus Scallopini. On our last visit, the "garnish" (as they call it), was an order of spagheti in marinara sauce. In most places, this "garnish" could have been dinner! I will never stop coming here. The food is great. The wait staff are super nice and accommodating.
