Found this place one morning after a party and had breakfast with a friend. Loved the food, loved the decor. Restaurant is clean and the food is adequately priced for their downtown location. You don't feel rushed to finish up and get out - the chef guy even left a pot of coffee on our table so we could refill it ourselves. The chef guy does have an attitude but he is not obnoxious. Sometimes he gets bored and will eavesdrop on your conversation and make commentary, or crack a few jokes with you. He is authentic, and so is his restaurant. Quaint little cafe with old-world-charm leaded glass windows that open to the street in summer. I have been there many times, always getting one of their breakfast meals. The service has always been quick and polite. The owner/manager was always on site and seems to take pride in good service. The place is usually pretty busy, but has a quick turn around time, so there isn't usually a wait more than a minute or two. As soon as your coffee cup starts to empty, the waitress or busser is over to fill it right back up (if you desire). It is a good old fashioned diner/greasy spoon that is great to sit back and have conversation with friends, and also great prices. Bonus, it is located close to Riverdale farms (TO's 1st zoo) which is great place (free) for kids to see animals, and near riverdale park for a game of baseball, tennis, ultimate or walking the dog. The meal is always done how you like it, and price includes coffee/tea and a small cup of OJ. Not bad at all ;) One of the most economical places to have a full meal, and unlike Yorkville restos I have never been dissatisfied with the food nor the service. The one thing they could improve on is offering more hot water for tea drinkers...we enjoy refills too! Read more

I've been to this restaurant a number of times. They have some very good deals for lunch. The restaurant used to be run by an old Korean couple. The entire menu is uniquely Korean. They have a great Dolsot Bibimbap (mixed vegetables, shredded meat and a fried egg in a stone bowl). My favourite dish is the Chicken Dupbap (a teriyaki style chicken on a bed of rice).
