As a Nova Scotianer, and someone who went to chef school, I have to say that Duffy's makes the best (haddock) fish and chips in the area if you don't feel like traveling to Sauble Beach. Went there last Tuesday with my sisters for a Birthday lunch. 3 had fish and chips, the best this side of the Atlantic as they claim, and The Fraser's are right, they are. One had liver and onions which are to die for. I had t he open face homemade 8 oz. burger with hand cut homemade fries. Ya gotta wait 20 minutes because it is indeed homemade but it is well worth it.
