Although it seems like Leslieville exploded in popularity quite recently, it’s actually been slowly building a solid reputation as a place to go for foodies for well over a decade. You can walk down this strip of Queen East and find something to eat that fits whatever you fancy at the moment. Here are some terrific options!
Tango Palace Coffee Company has been a local haunt in Leslieville for more than 15 years. It’s the perfect place to go for a mid-afternoon coffee and treat, with a cozy atmosphere, free WiFi and an inviting vibe.
Ascari Enoteca does Italian really, really well. Their pasta is handmade daily on the premises, with dishes rotating regularly to make the most of what’s locally available.
Gio Rana’s Really Really Nice Restaurant has been a go-to for delicious Italian plates to share in Leslieville for years. Known also as “the Nose” due to its giant, well, nose on the outside of the restaurant, the atmosphere is bustling and hip and the food is consistently delicious.
Goods & Provisions is a really great place to stop and get a good drink and a bite to eat. The prohibition-era styling makes it a treat for the eyes, and perfectly done dishes like the Bone Marrow make it a treat for the stomach. They do meat really well here.
Leslieville Pumps serves gasoline as well as Southern style BBQ. Their takeout sandwiches are great to bring to a picnic, along with the coleslaw and smoked baked beans.
