BEWARE BEFORE YOU SIGN/GIVE DEPOSIT. 26 YEAR OLD FEMALE BUYING FIRST NEW CAR. THEY TOTALLY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME. I LIVE IN OSHAWA AND WENT TO TORONTO TO LOOK AT A USED LANCER AT A PRIVATE DEALER BUT IT WAS DAMAGED SO I WENT HERE TO LOOK AT ANOTHER USED ONE BUT IT WAS SOLD. I INQUIRED ABOUT FINANCING A BRAND NEW ONE WITH SALES REP CAMILO AND WAS IN A RUSH BECAUSE I HAD TO GO TO WORK. I FILLED OUT AN APPLICATION TO RUN A CREDIT CHECK AND LEFT $1000 DEPOSIT (WHICH I NEVER GOT A RECEIPT FOR) I WAS TOLD I WOULD GET THE DEPOSIT BACK WEATHER I WAS APPROVED OR NOT. AS I WAS TRYING TO LEAVE THIER FINANCE MANAGER LORI, GOT ME TO SIGN PAPERS WITHOUT EXPLAINING ANYTHING TO ME. I ASSUMED IT WAS SO SHE COULD RUN THE CREDIT CHECK. WHEN I GOT HOME AND LOOKED AT IT, IT WAS A VEHICLE PURCHASE AGREEMENT, (THAT SAID SALES FINAL) WITH A PRICE THAT WAS NEVER DISCUSSED. WITH A CAR I NEVER EVEN SEEN! (NO VIN PROVIDED) I CALLED LORI AS SOON AS I REALIZED (CRYING I WAS SO UPSET) SHE EXPLAINED TO ME SHE NEEDED ME TO SIGN THE PAPERS SO SHE COULD RUN THE CHECK AND THAT I WAS UNDER NO OBLIGATION BECAUSE I DID NOT GIVE ANY OF MY BANK INFORMATION ECT. SALES REP CAMILO CALLED ME SHORTLY AFTER AND TOLD ME I WAS APPROVED FOR FINANCING. I WAS SUPPOSE TO RETURN IN THE MORING BUT I WAS SO UN-HAPPY WITH THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE I CALLED THEM TO TELL THEM I WASENT INTERESTED IN PURCHASING FROM THEM AND WANTED MY DEPOSIT BACK. THE MANAGER, RON SAID HE WAS KEEPING THE 1000 DEPOSIT AND THREATENED TO TAKE ME TO COURT IF I DID NOT BUY FROM THEM.
