A Family fun time

Christien's restaurant was a very fun experience. The food and service were both better then expected for the volume of customers there on a friday night (may 25). We made reservation and got exactly what we asked for. Service was prompt and startes made it the table less then 15 minutes after ordering. Everyones food was well cooked and brought out all at the same time.

These reviews are soooo old! They need to be dated for relevance!! Christien's rolled out a new menu this past Jan and it includes all their traditional items PLUS an amazing new burger menu!! Still the same friendly staff, quick service, and cozy atmosphere. Definitely not your typical mall "chain" restaurant. 03/21/2012

Take out

We placed an order for take out. When I got home to Dover and placed the dinner on plates. I was horrified. The chicken had melted on the styrofoam container. Literally. The fries were overcooked. We did not eat the chicken for fear of getting sick. I have two young children The only good thing was the celery bread. I let the establishment know about the situation about the styrofoam melting onto our food and management is to get back to me. I will have an update once I receive the call.

I ordered the perch and fries. When I received my meal, the fries already had ketchup on them. What is that!?!?! Are they reusing their food? To make matters worse, my sister lifted up her coffee mug and there was a cockroach underneath the mug. Never again have I gone back to this place!!!

The restaurnat is very warm and cozy. Simcoe is a small town and the feel of the restaurnat takes that on. You could go there dressed to the nines or just in a casual jeans and sweatshirt. The food is amazing, comes hot, oversized servings, offer foods you cannot get at just any restaurnat. Service was prompt and attentative. a great place to go to enjoy good food!!!
