My eldest son went to this preschool for 2 years, and we loved it so much, we were thrilled to enroll his younger sister as well. Even with a change in teachers (one retired), we have found consistent warmth and care given. My son has gone on to excel in French immersion, and my daughter sings songs to herself as well as with her brother every day. The teachers are gentle, caring, and clearly love their work. I cannot speak highly enough of them or of our experience with this school.
We love this preschool and it’s wonderful program! My son has been coming home spouting off new French vocabulary and songs after being enrolled for just 2 months. It’s a great mix of play and education, plus fine arts as well. I’d highly recommend this school, especially if you are considering French immersion and want to have early exposure to the language.
The school has been a wonderful experience for my daughter these last two years. She is delighted to go to school every day and always tells me she had fun when she comes home. By the end of her first year, she could count to 10 and sing the alphabet entirely in French, she could name simpler shapes, some colours and was pointing at different objects, asking how to say that in French. She is now in her second year of preschool and saying much more. Overall, I am very happy with my choice.
We are having a great experience with this place. Both of my kids started attending this place since they were 3 years old. They picking up new words and skills everyday and would occasionally amaze me with their innovative art work and handcraft.
Preschool is at very busy Oak st and 49th ave with lots of traffic. This year teachers found a child in my son's class alone near a bus stop on Oak st. Front door is old and the child was able to open it without teachers/parents knowing. School has not fixed problem and this is not acceptable and scary to hear as a parent. My son tells me teachers often yell at kids during class. Also preschool has not been allowing parents to volunteer with children saying that it is disruptive.
My kid adjusted quickly to this preschool and the teachers-loves it there and can't wait to go everyday to meet the teachers and play with friends. The space is bright, clean and large, with an indoor gym & an outside play area. Picking up French from all the songs and activities is a big plus. The programming is fun for the kids and well organized and includes a special music class and field trips. Teachers are professional and welcoming with parents; relaxed, caring, patient with children.
My kid loves going to this school. He always talks about school friends, teachers and the interesting activities they do at school. He's learned a lot about social skills, self-care, orders and French words since starting the school year. We are satisfied with the progress he's made.
The teachers always keep good communication with the parents. The teachers are doing their best to make sure to provide the happy and safe environment for the children.
My son loves going to this school. He learned a lot since started this school few months ago such as behaviours, social skills, French words and songs. Teachers are always welcoming, always communicate with parents and great with kids. The school is bright and clean and also has a nice playground. They have field trip almost once month and different theme every month. Highly recommend to all parents!

With the retirement of the head teacher a couple of years ago the school is now a disaster. New teachers are inexperienced and don’t get along. Now they are down to 2 teachers and children are not properly supervised and child safety has been a big issue. There’s bullying and aggressiveness that teachers have not been able to fix. Don’t be fooled by the small class sizes. There’s a reason why this preschool struggles to fill their classes.
The Vancouver Bilingual School has made transitioning my daughter from Preschool to Kindergarten effortlessly. Not only did she build confidence in her social skills in interacting with other children. The teachers are very kind, nurturing and motivational. They encourage their curiosity and challenge them to expand their knowledge. Not only has my child made life long friends, so did the parents. I highly recommend to anyone to enroll their child in Vancouver Bilingual School.
Both my son and my daughter have attended preschool here and we have had a great experience. The teachers are great with the children and every month there is a field trip. There is play time outside each day, arts and craft, circle time and both my children have come home singing songs in french. My first is now in public school and the transition to school was made easily all thanks to the program at Vancouver Bilingual Preschool.
