We offer all breed dog and cat grooming by a fully qualified expert groomer with over 35 years experience specializing in difficult to handle breeds.We follow the North American Standards for grooming the different breeds and the over 150 documented clips. Pets of mixed heritage receive clips modified individually to enhance their appearance and all grooming is subject to customer approval. Please note that nails cut and ears cleaned is done free with every grooming and if for some reason we are unable to complete the grooming, either because of your animal or at your request, you do not pay for what is not done. Donna got her grooming qualifications in Montreal almost 40 years ago and has worked in several cities across Canada including Montreal and Toronto. She has groomed dogs for both competition and production including one for the movie "Atlantic City USA' staring Burt Lancaster.Her son Andrew has taken a grooming apprenticeship and been working with her for over 4 years now. The family ties make for a relaxed and homey atmosphere.
As of September 1, 2016, our street address is 17525 56 Avenue which is right beside the Husky Gas Station at the corner of #10 Highway (56 Avenue) and the Pacific Highway (Highway #15). We are located in the side of the Apollo Animal Hospital and our door faces the Husky's car wash. Our neighbour, Dr. Renu, is an excellent caring vet who enhances this location.
Appointments are accepted between 9am and 9pm Monday through Saturday. We work floating 8 hour days meaning if we work late we do not work that morning and we try to offer at least one late night a week. We were desperate, but I won’t ever be that desperate again. I didn’t think it would be a great job because it was done so quickly, and I was right. My dog has razor burn and a nick under his chin, and he’s been coughing like he was choked. The rest of the cut is on the low end of okay, as it’s a bit patchy and not what I wanted.
This the worst groomer . She wasn’t very nice to my dog and her son who was a helper . I would highly recommend not going to her , she pinched my dog and pulled his legs and held his mouth close was very nine . Push his around like he was a doll. She didn’t even give him a even cut . I would expect s groomer to be nice with your animal .not only that the place was a dump . I should have gone with my gut feeling and just walked out but someone said she was good . We saw a comment favouring Donna at Pretty Pets,we have never commented but will now. You ask why all the bad reviews? We took our 5month old puppy to her a year ago for grooming, our puppy then about 3lbs was the sweetest, most gentle darling little puppy and never a biter. We opted to stay and watch. They hosed her off with water at the pressurer of a pressurer washer, our puppy was terrified, then Donnna preceded to comb her out then RIPPING at any tiny mats she had. Continued!!!!!!!
