"My main goal is to instil a love of dance and creative play in children," says Jessica Hanson, who co-owns Kids in Motion Dance Studio with husband, Clete. Jessica is the creative force behind the dance studio, while Clete plays the entrepreneurial business role, designing the website, and strategizing the overall vision of the studio.
"We call ourselves a non-traditional studio," says Jessica, "because our focus is encouraging children to just experience the creative aspect of being involved in the arts. We emphasize the artistic rather than the sports side of performance."
The dance studio offers sessions in a variety of dance genres, including jazz, ballet, highland and tap, as well as musical theatre classes where the children can dress up, sing, play musical instruments and utilize the studio's extensive prop inventory.
